Are you on the lookout for the best online e-commerce platforms? If so, you’ve come to the right article! Today, I am going to talk about the different platforms which I think is the best bang for the buck. So, without further ado, let’s get started!

BigCommerce

The first one on the list is also what I consider to be ‘the’ best e-commerce platform out there. BigCommerce is great for larger retail stores simply because it has a very powerful product search engine- perfect for whenever you sell a lot of things.

This is also ideal for business owners who currently have a brick and mortar store and want to expand their business in the online realm.

The great thing about this platform is that it is very easy to use. The interface is pretty straightforward and even though there are features that are considered complex, you simply just enable it when you want to. In other words, you have a lot of power in your fingertips without ever having to learn how to code.

Shopify

When the purpose of your online store is just to sell a product (and a lot of it), then Shopify is indeed that platform that you want to go for. This is especially true if you rely on Facebook or Instagram marketing.

It promises blazing fast speeds and it is also very easy to set up as well (so easy, in fact, that it doesn’t require any technical knowledge at all).

WooCommerce

If you have a WordPress website running and you want to integrate that with your online shop, then look no further than WooCommerce.

This e-commerce platform’s interface resembles that of WordPress which means that it would be a cinch for you to setup.

If you do not have any experience using WordPress and setting it up, do not worry as there are plenty of different tutorials online that will help you.

Prestashop

Another e-commerce platform that boasts of speed and performance, Prestashop provides you with different options depending on what you want to get from the get-go.

You can either opt for the free builder which comes with some themes and some basic functionality, but you can also unlock the paid version and get everything.

If you do not know how to set things up, do not worry as you can hire their in-house developer to do everything for you (for a price of course).

Weebly

If you are still a beginner in e-commerce, then Weebly is definitely the platform that I will recommend. It has a pretty easy setup interface and everything is pretty straightforward. If you are unaware of the feature, there is a lengthy startup guide to help you.

Its positive and negative are the same in that it has a very easy to use interface. It is a positive because it helps beginners do their thing without any technical knowledge. It is a negative because its functionality is deemed as basic, compared to other platforms at least.

Squarespace

If you want an all-in-one solution that doesn’t break the bank, then Squarespace is a pretty good option. It’s got plenty of tiers for you to choose from based on your needs and I am happy to tell you that they are pretty cheap.

But, the service is pretty good and the SEO is at the top of the charts as well. If you want to dabble in e-commerce without spending too much money in creating your website, then Squarespace is an ideal choice.
